Game Review (cont'd)
The
Gunman Chronicles
If
you’ve played Half Life, (and who hasn’t) you’ll be familiar with the
type of gameplay experienced in Gunman Chronicles; with the exception of two
very big differences. The Rewolf team has developed a unique controlling
system for driving vehicles in the game, and oh what fun it is to ride in a
two-tracked killing machine! (You really didn’t think one horse open
sleigh did you?) With unmatched firepower and practically unstoppable force,
the tank is one of the most fun parts of the game. You’ll revel in the
excitement as you watch an old abandoned building get completely leveled by
a single shot from the tanks cannon. Oh what good times.

What is the second thing that makes Gunman stand out? It’s definitely the weapons. Instead of just having a few different weapons such as a pistol, shotgun, and machine gun, you have a modifiable arsenal that will give you the chance to tweak your gun as you play. That's right, all the weapons are modifiable in game. This means that one weapon can have a whole lot of different firing modes, depending on what you choose. For example, with the shotgun you can choose how many shells you fire per shot and the spread of the buckshot. It’s pretty cool.

Gunman Chronicles will take you on an extraordinary journey to several different planetary locations in an epic battle for survival of not only yourself but for all of mankind. You’ll find, meet (and kill) all sorts of new creatures that are indigenous to each planet you visit, and you’ll engage in combat with skilled new characters around every corner. What started out as a Half Life MOD has ended up being very far from it. Rewolf has created a unique new stand-alone game that you most definitely won’t want to miss.

Highs
This game sucks you in and makes it hard to stop playing
The great sound effects help create a real creepy environment
The weapons are some of the coolest I’ve seen (since Unreal Tournament)
You get to drive a tank!
Remember the 'head crabs' from Half Life, they're nothing compared to these new aliens.
Lows
Ummm...
Oh yeah, I wasn’t wild about the voice acting.
Crashed on me once, but after that seems very stable
