The Lord of the Rings battled the competition and was rewarded with 13 Oscar nominations, the most of any movie this year. The runner-up seems to be A Beautiful Mind, with Oscar nods for Russell Crowe and former Cave Babe - Jennifer Connelly.

The hardwares gods over at NVIDIA have just announced their latest video card - the GeForce 4!! Along with this announcement comes my sadness, I remember when my $500.00 GeForce 2 was cutting edge. I'm getting too old for this, perhaps I'm just getting too poor.

The stats for the top 20 grossing tours of 2001 are out, and there sure are a lot of "old timers" making some big coin. I won't spoil who made the most (but I was able to guess who it was, and I'm sure U too can). It's also nice to know that James Taylor made basically the same as Ms. Spears, there is a god.
